We are getting close to the end of another year and so, like everyone else we can look back on the old year and try to work out just what happened. Just what did happen to us all?

We let the banks turn us all over then we let the government do the same and now we are letting the banks have another bite of the cherry just encase there is any fruit left on it. We continue with two major wars in countries where we are not wanted with the object being no doubt to inflict our form of democracy and governance on these peoples, the same democracy and governance that almost destroyed the world’s economic base but what the hell, they will like it when they get it. Not only that we can exploit their rich recourses and add to our wealth but that we expand our power base into every corner of the globe, if they are lucky enough we might ask them to become members of the EEC!
We had the chance to tackle global warming head on and because the rich nations have not yet found a way to make the undeveloped and developing economies pay for our mistakes we passed on by on the other side and denied the whole of mankind the chance to bequeath a better tomorrow to our planet and our kids. There are however those who will gain from this, the self same people who got us into the financial mess we are all paying for now, yes they are even trading carbon, well it’s there so let’s make money out of it.

You know, most of us here at Spanking Towers are children of the 60’s yes we are getting on a bit now and when we look back at what those happy hopeful years where individuality and flower power reigned free what have we left for our legacy?
It would seem not a great deal, we still have world poverty, we still have children living in poverty in the USA and the UK, we still have drug taking and the accompanying violence in our worlds capitol cities. We still have illiteracy and children leaving school not able to read or write but able to be locked away in increasing numbers for not having any sort of life to look forward to, we are still sending our young folk to be slaughtered in the most horrible ways in those same countries who don’t want us and we still sacrifice everything for the gods money and wealth.   

Will things change with the coming of a new year? We sadly doubt it, we will all carry on in our own selfish way and think of ourselves first and others a sad last, we still won’t see the big picture, we will still allow those who we elect to govern us to continue in the same self serving way that seems to go with the job, we still let them reduce our freedom to do as we wish and to apply more and more state control over our lives and we don’t even think that our freedom is reason enough to get off our back sides and vote these people out of office and demand a new system, the same system they want to export to the counties they are having us invade.

Antivirus company McAfee have taken it upon themselves to become the sole arbiter of the safety or otherwise of your web sites.

The first you will know about the mayhem and mischief that McAfee are causing is when you, if you use their antivirus program, or one of your potential customers tells you about a notice in red that flags up every time someone goes to your site. This is what they will see:

McAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential security risks with this site. Use with extreme caution.

This is based on a supposed automated scan of your site and is posted and actioned without being checked for accuracy and before you as the web site owner or webmaster have a chance to check or to comment. When you try to get McAfee to fix the problem it turns out that this can take them up to TEN WORKING DAYS! What a great thing to happen to any site over the Christmas/New Year Period! So for at least ten working days you will be losing business with no way of recouping your losses for the libellous and defamatory statements made by McAfee.

Don’t you just love a company like this? This company must be snowed under with complaints if it takes them ten working days to deal with a complaint!

How dare they do this to legitimate businesses who make every effort to ensure that their servers and all their programs are free of any viruses or malware?

Maybe they are so big that they feel they can’t be challenged in this, maybe they don’t care that they are not only costing you as a web site owner money but that they are also damaging your reputation.

We have listed below a number of web sites where you can go to read more about this arrogant and malicious company and its software and to register your dissatisfaction with this company. Hopefully a class action can be instigated against them for defamation and damages.

I was somewhat surprised today to see on a spanking forum that SOL Digital services Ltd, the owners of the SpankingOnline empire had gone into receivership!

I could not believe it so I did some checking and it is true!

One of the casualties of this has been the producers of the Strictly English spanking films who had a marketing deal with SOL Digital whereby SOL sold their films online via their SpankingVids.com web site. It seems that Strictly English were not paid for nearly a years sales!

The owner of Strictly English posted on the forum:

“A few months ago Spanking Online (who operate Spankingvids.com) told me they were going into liquidation, which would effectively wipe out any debts they had including what they owed to Strictly English (about a years worth of subscriptions to spankingvids.com).

I offered to work with their new set-up but I’ve never heard back from them again. I was about to serve them with a long overdue DMCA, but now I don’t need to as they have done the decent thing at last & taken the site down.

I’m sorry for all the fans of Strictly English who supported the spankingvids.com site but as none of the revenue was coming back to Strictly English the situation could not continue.”

I find what appears to be a cynical  defrauding of a fellow quality film producer a reprehensible act by SOL Digital. I only hope Strictly English can survive this financial meltdown.

What I would like to know is, how can what appears to be one of the largest spanking site empires get into such financial difficulties? How long did they know they were in trouble? Why if they are in receivership do their sites now say they are based in Denmark and are still trading? Are they going to honour their bad debts?

And finally, how can Dino and Peppe, the owners of Sol Digital, sleep at night after shafting Strictly English?

We have been looking around the sites and the spanking scenes on offer at the moment and are struck by the lack of variety and the distance there seems to be between the what the film makers present to us and what we do in our own spanking life and scene, OK we all love the school girl film and the naughty secretary; well that’s always a good standby. Why can’t we have some thought put into the scenarios though, it must be pretty damn boring for the girls and the film makers themselves to be always enacting the same few lines and scenes.

Why not look at a few of the scenarios used by real people. A feature of lots of peoples spanking play is the ‘roll play’ and the different scenarios this presents. This is where you can have some serious fun or some serious SERIOUS fun. Maybe you like a laugh with your spanking, OK this can be the way to inject a smile and to keep the session light, nice when meeting someone for the first time or trying out your little kink on someone who may or may not share your views on spanking or being the subject of a spanking. Better through a nice roll play situation than throwing them over the arm of a chair and beating their bum till they say either ‘wow that was great’ or call for the cops and have you carted off to the pokey.

There are some things we don’t want to see on film or depicted on web sites. You have to draw a line in the roll play sand I think, the rape fantasy and the kidnap with violence scene, which I have seen discussed on some of the blogs, is where I draw my line.  Some sad person out there might get the idea that this is acceptable behaviour and can be applied to all the ladies he may meet, no better left alone I think.

OK someone is going to say what about the schoolgirl scene, mature ladies dressed as schoolgirls? Well that’s just it, they are mature ladies and they do dress up, they do not say they are young girls and available, they are play acting and make it clear that they are play acting. With the rape and kidnap fantasy the whole object is that it is supposed to be a real as possible and to look as uncontrived as possible.

When it comes to story lines and costumes then some of the Eastern European sites do have a big lead over the British produced material, I am not sure I like everything I see from these companies but I do like the fact that they put thought into costumes and storylines and indeed locations. It is a fact that they are able through legislation in different countries to go to those places where it is not possible for the British producer to go. Our thought, moral and behaviour police will be after you before the first DVD has stopped spinning, when will the British public at large say enough is enough get out of my bedroom, playroom, and dungeon?

 No we have to ask that you Mr. Producer find somewhere in the middle and come up with good stories and locations. We have the very best spanking models in the world in the UK and I for one want to see them in good stories, acting out good lines and making me believe the whole thing is happening just for me and not to some tired and wilting formula. Do I have an example of the sort of thing, yes I do and it comes from one of the newer web sites. I have borrowed these clips from Spanking Sarah and it shows just one part of the full story. It is based around a girl who goes out on the streets, has sex with a stranger for money, goes to a religious looking disciplinarian for forgiveness and finds that the way to absolution is long and painful. The story has the locations, the costumes the application of thought in the production and editing and all these bring out the best in the excellent actors. More of the same PLEASE.

Social networking seems to be all the rage at the moment, face book seems the most popular but there are loads of other vanilla sites where you can post all your personal and intimate details and hope to meet like minded people or at least to have some interaction with them.

There are a number of sites associated with the fetish scene and a new one has just come on line primarily aimed at all of us with the wider fetish community, not just the spanking lovers. The World Fetish Forum is still in the early stages and design work is still ongoing but this can be a good time to join the community, make yourself known and as an early member get more uploading space for yourself. As with all such sites this is a free experience, too few of those I say!

We have to acknowledge that there is now more of a cross over between spanking, CP, S&M Bondage and some of the more esoteric kinks, witness the rise of the sex and spanking sites mentioned in previous articles. That it’s a good thing can’t be argued, it is always good to meet new people and get a new slant on something we all love, maybe in chatting to others we do decide to try out new things, to widen our experiences and to maybe help us in meeting new people.

Whatever our motives for joining such sites, it can be as basic as just going to look at the pictures or the videos, I for one have seen some real eye openers since I began surfing these sites. A very interesting article today on the Spanking Sarah  blog, it is good to see that there is life out there inside some of the organisations making spanking films. I wholly echo this view and am always pleased to see a widening of the possibilities, as long as within the spanking site there is a fair amount of spanking and with the site in question no one can argue against that, then it is good to see that there is more to the genre than the hackneyed old scenes.

BDSM and dungeons will not be for everyone in the spanking scene that is clear but I think it matters how the scene is tackled, if it does not go too far towards the more restrictive side of the scene and concentrates on the CP and spanking then that for me is an added bonus in joining this web site. With the technology now giving us near High Def films on the internet, and certainly with some sites editing and production methods that can match main stream production we have the right to expect a better class of product and we also expect to see some of the boundaries pushed back a bit. We all love to get something for nothing but where do you draw the line? Do you have pirated copies of software programs, Windows, Photoshop, games? Yes I guess that most of us have something that we have not purchased from the copyright owner or have ripped off from a web site.

There are other sites who just host the links to material which is then placed on so called FREE servers such as send space or rapid share.  It seems that the pirates think it is open day on other people’s property and when questioned about it think that because they are hiding there grubby little activities behind so called anonymous e-mail addresses and proxy servers no one can take them to task on it.

Well, we have news for them; certain companies’ are now trialling a piece of very clever software that puts unbreakable hidden code into movie downloads. The object is to go after the pirate, the one who originally downloaded the material. This code tells the copyright owner exactly who downloaded the material and therefore who has breached the copyright. As the designers say “By using advanced steganographic techniques our download management software encrypts in real-time, using a client-unique key, within the wmv or RealMedia® video file the membership username, the date, time and IP address of the downloader. With this information the originating site owner can identify the person responsible for releasing their film into the ‘wild’.

Our advanced steganography system imprints in every frame of your film the encrypted username and download date/time information. Our systems can still retrieve this information even if the film has been converted between various film formats (wmv-avi, wmv-mpeg, wmv- rm etc.) and in many cases even a single frame-grab, in several formats, is sufficient for us to retrieve the information you need.

At the moment these companies prefer to remain anonymous until they have had their first successful prosecutions for copyright theft and breach of contract. ‘Breach of contract’ you ask, well yes indeed, when you pay your money to join a web site and agree to the terms and conditions it will be part of those terms and conditions that you do not distribute the material or share it with others and that you do not use it on any free sites, this you agree to when taking on your membership. We have it on good authority that certain individuals who make a habit of this will be getting delivered to their home address rather large invoices for the illegal use and distribution of copyrighted material. It then becomes a simple case; they either pay the invoice or have to defend their actions in their local court. How many porno pirates will want to do this?

As far as the web site owners are concerned it is easier for them to prove breach of contract in almost every country than to challenge the copyright laws in some of the obscure countries that the servers used by these pirate sites are located. The penalties are also higher.

Is this the beginning of the end for web pirates? We don’t think so but maybe when the trials of this software are complete their demise will be a little closer.

Has anyone noticed the proliferation of spanking blogs? This seems to be the new way of communicating within the spanking community. Everyone who has the slightest idea of how to operate at even the most basic level should be able to find out there some blog software that gives them all the facilities they want and which they can master.

So what is the result of all this enthusiasm to get out there and be seen? As you might expect and as has become common place on the internet there is a load of dross, even it has to be said, mindless dross. So how do you find a good spanking blog, where do you look? It’s not easy; yes you can Google spanking blogs and you will get around 2,000000 replies but take it from a seasoned blogger the great majority of these are just not worth the effort and many of them will just be an insult to your intelligence.
There will be others which it is obvious have only been updated on a very occasional basis, yes I know you can say that of this news site but if you don’t give us the news we are not going out there to find it unless it is really interesting and something we can’t miss. We are a non profit making side line for a few mad spankos.

Another way maybe to find a good spanking blog you like and follow the links from there. One I like is Sexy Spanking; I like this because it is a personality blog, run by the young lady herself and not by or on behalf of some huge marketing machine. She has taken the time to look at loads of blogs from all over the world and has created some interesting links. Take the time to follow some, and you will soon find something that appeals to you.
Once you find some interesting blogs then follow the links from these and hey presto you are now in the spanking blogosphere and may the gods of all spankers look down on and guide you through the mass of material available to you. Another blog you may like to take a look at is The Cherry Red Report  Run by a US based spank lover called Dave you will always find new and interesting material, some a little quirky but always well illustrated and relevant.
A favourite of our office slave is  The Spanking Spot and we have to say we do agree with her, interesting and run by a guy who so obviously loves spanking and all associated with it. A real good feeling comes out of this blog, we need more like this.

Anyway, that’s just a starter pack of some good blogs, you will notice as you go around that some of the blogs have sadly become little more than adverts for the larger spanking companies, everything you click on will take you to a pay site, well that’s understandable, everyone needs to earn a little extra these days. One we like is Best British Spanking so if you like the look of what’s on offer and if you want to support a good blog the click a few links, you may find something you like and don’t mind spending a few hard earned pence on.

Wow everything changes so fast, no sooner do I get links posted than I have webmasters contacting and telling me to change it from this to that. It seems that Max Mosely will now become ‘bulletproof’ against further press intrusion but I am concerned that, whilst this multi-millionaire is £60,000 the richer, that Paul and Lucy of Northern Spanking are left high and dry and facing an uncertain financial future by the malicious and inaccurate gutter press reporting in the Scottish papers that outed Paul. It would help if all those that can afford it bought a subscription to their site to help them out at this uncertain time.

As one that knows Paul and Lucy, and also at least one of the girls involved, I am glad that Mosely has won and that his stand was vindicated. It hopefully will help protect the rest of us.

I have offered what little help I can to Paul and Lucy, and also the girl I know that was affected, and I hope others in the spanking industry will do likewise.

If we in the spanking fraternity cannot rally round and help then it reflects badly on us all because they are casualties in a battle fought, and fortunately won today, on behalf of all of us spankos.

My only other wish is that Woman-E and her ex-MI5 husband rot in hell for their treachery to those they called ‘friends’ and used so terribly to get their 15 pieces of silver (they would have got 30 but the NOTW are as treacherous as themselves and only paid them half!).
